Letter To a Lonely Sailor

Dear sailor,

Forget not to lock your golden heart, for only few trusty ones truly deserve it

Beware the evil dressed as divine.

Beware the spell of hypocrisy.

Trust not feelings alone and kindly invite reason to guide you through uncertainty.

Drink carefully the old sailor’s rum to fill your soul with wisdom, so you can balance endurance with tenderness.

Forget not to lock your golden heart for only few trusty ones truly deserve it!

Be careful not to show who you are to those you don’t know with care and compassion.

To be honest doesn’t mean to speak about everything at all times, but to act honorable knowing when to stay silent.

For those you just met, mindfully protect yourself until their actions prove they are worthy.

When you speak too much, you risk giving too much for those who mean your harm.

When you speak too little, you risk being vastly misunderstood.

When you speak nothing can you mindfully say meaningful things.

Slowly listen to their words and with patient eyes observe as they do things to you and others.

For words can be deceiving and meant to cause you harm – only actions shows true intentions.

Be patient, be aware, be kind.

Best regards,

O.C.
